Yamuna Devika Ulagoda (Kanthi), born in 1949 is the eldest of Ulagoda family. She studied in St’ Joseph’s convent, Kegalle followed by Colombo University where she got BA degree. She married PDND Gunatilake (Nihal) from Kolonnawa. Nihal, Mechanical Engineering graduate from Katubedda University worked in Steel Corporation (Colombo), then in Japan and Zambia. Finally they settled in Auckland, New Zealand. They have one child Mayuri who is married to Scott, a New Zealandar.
