Dinithi, daughter of Rohana and grand daughter of Wije Iddawela (10th of 13 Iddawelas) is the eldest of the three siblings. She attended Hillwood College Kandy and afterwards went on to pursue her higher studies in Architecture at Auburn University in Alabama, USA. Dinithi is now a licensed architect in Sri Lanka and has established her own architectural practice. Dinithi married her Auburn batchmate Cem (pronounced Gem) Kayatekin. They lived in Oregon, USA where Cem completed his PhD. Thereafter they shifted to Madrid, Spain where Cem started his academic career in Architecture. For Leisure, she enjoys swimming, art, pottery and traveling. She initiated Clean River Project to clean up non biodegradable waste in Mahaweli River, Kandy, Sri Lanka near Polgolla Dam. This environment care event takes place every Sunday evening.
