Ananda (1950) is the 3rd of Mudiyanse & Leelawathie’s 6 children. Educated in Maliyadewa Boy’s College (high school) in Kurunegala he excelled in sports in addition to academics. He graduated in law from University of Colombo.and became a lawyer. He married Lawyer Sarasi Harishchandra and settled in Polonnaruwa ancient capital of Sri Lanka. They had 2 children daughter Lakmali and son Sanjaya.
