Shiwanthi (1985) is the second daughter of Lumbini Iddawela Samarakoon and grand daughter of Wije (10th of 13 Iddawelas). She studied in Holy Family Convent, Kurunegala (high school for girls) and graduated with honours from Rajarata University, Mihintale, Sri Lanka. She was the leader of school music band. She works Water Board, Sri Lanka. She married banker Prabash Ranasinghe of Narammala in 2014 and have a son Videv Ranasinghe (2016).
