Dharmathilaka Kumari Iddawela is third in the Abey family and one in the rare occurrence of boy/girl twins. Studied at Girls’ High School, Kandy. Worked at Queen’s Hotel Kandy as a typist/secretary. She got married to Sunil Gunewardene (son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Gunewardene of Mirihana, Nugegoda) and settled in Australia. They have two sons Eranga and Harinda. Eranga was born in Nugegoda, Sri Lanka and after that family migrated to Australia. Harinda was born in Sydney Australia.
