Aruni Manohari Kumari Danapala (1975) is the only child of Wimal Danapala & Indra in Manadeniya, Pilimathalawa. She did her schooling at Good Shepherd Convent (high school for girls), Kandy, Sri Lanka and graduated in Law from University of Colombo. She became a lawyer and practises in Kandy courts. She married Priyantha Herath, aircraft maintenance engineer in 1994 and continues to live in Manadeniya (grandparent residence).
